How to duplicate a board

Duplicating a board creates an independent copy with all the same content. This is useful for creating templates or giving each student their own version of a board.

Steps to duplicate

  1. Open the board you want to copy, or find it on the home page.
  2. Click the three-dot menu.
  3. Select Make a copy.
  4. Optionally rename the copy (the default name is “Copy of [original name]”).
  5. Choose whether to share with the same people as the original board.
  6. Click Copy to create the duplicate.

You’ll be redirected to the new board automatically.

Tips

  • Use this to create a template board and then duplicate it for each class or group.
  • If you share a board link with the ?copy parameter, visitors will be prompted to make their own copy when they open it.
