How to add a shape

Jotboard includes a range of shapes you can add to your board for diagrams, flowcharts, or visual emphasis.

Creating a shape

  1. Click the Shape icon in the toolbar.
  2. Select the shape you want from the dropdown: Circle, Rectangle, Triangle, Rhombus, Rounded rectangle, Half circle, Arrow, or Star.
  3. Click and drag on the board to draw the shape.

Customising a shape

When a shape is selected, the toolbar shows customisation options:

  • Border colour — Choose from Black, Blue, Green, White, Yellow, or Red.
  • Fill colour — Choose a colour or select Transparent for an outline-only shape.

Tips

  • Use rectangles and arrows together to create simple flowcharts.
  • Transparent shapes with coloured borders work well as annotations over images or PDF backgrounds.
  • Hold Shift while resizing to maintain the aspect ratio.
