How to share a folder
Sharing a folder gives others access to all boards inside it (and any subfolders), without sharing each board individually.
Sharing a folder
- On the home page, click the three-dot menu on a folder (or the menu next to the folder name in the breadcrumb when you’re inside it).
- Select Share….
- Enter an email address or select a team to share with.
- Choose a permission level: Viewer or Editor.
- Click Save.
Permission levels
- Viewer — can open and view boards inside the folder, but cannot make changes.
- Editor — can create boards and subfolders, and move and rename items inside the folder. Editors cannot delete the folder itself.
Inherited permissions
Subfolders automatically inherit access from their parent folder. If you share a folder with someone, they can access everything inside it, including nested subfolders.
You can also grant additional access at a subfolder level without affecting the parent folder. For example, you can give someone Editor access to a subfolder while they only have Viewer access to the parent.
Revoking access
- Click the three-dot menu on the folder and select Share….
- Find the person or team whose access you want to remove.
- Click the remove button next to their name and save.
