How to use the pen tool
The pen tool is the primary drawing tool in Jotboard. It produces a fine, precise line that’s ideal for writing, sketching, and annotating.
Getting started
- Click the Pen icon in the toolbar on the left side of the screen.
- Click and drag on the board to draw.
- Release the mouse (or lift your pen/finger) to finish the stroke.
Choosing a colour
When a drawing tool is selected, a colour palette appears in the toolbar. The available colours are:
- Black
- Blue
- Green
- White
- Yellow
- Red
Click a colour to switch to it. Your colour selection is remembered across drawing tools.
Drawing straight lines
Hold Shift while drawing to constrain your line to a straight horizontal or vertical line. This is useful for underlining or drawing borders.
